Sue Langley

Sue Langley's career encompasses the retail, consulting and financial services sectors. She is currently the CEO of UK Financial Services Organisation at the UK Trade and Investment (UKTI). Sue is also a Non-Executive Director for UKAR (Northern Rock Asset Management and Bradford and Bingley) and Chairman of the Remuneration Committees. Previously she was Director of Market Development and a member of the Executive Team for Lloyd's of London, a Director of Lloyd's Asia and Chairman of Lloyd's Japan.

Prior to this Sue was Chief Operating Officer (COO) and a member of the Executive Team for the Hiscox Group holding various Board positions. She was named as one of the most influential women to watch in the Insurance industry. Prior to joining Hiscox, Sue moved from a retail organisation to PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Principle Consultant, where she worked with a range of FTSE 100 companies. She believes that diversity in the boardroom leads to better results and is a keynote speaker at a number of conferences and events and mentors a number of women across industries.

Sue is the Financial Services (FS) Representative on the Women's Business Council. She is a Vice President of the Insurance Institute of London (IIL), receiving the IIL President's Award in 2009 in recognition of her contribution to the Institute. She was also awarded the 2009 FS Women in the City Achievement Award. She has a degree in geography (BSc Hons) from Southampton University.
