Children's University has been shortlisted at The Charity Awards 2012!

Civil Society Media's major awards programme, The Charity Awards, recognises and celebrates excellence in management and leadership across civil society.

Now in it's 13th year, The Charity Awards programme continues to celebrate the dramatic effects that charities have on a wide spectrum of social needs. The award evening itself attracts around 800 guests with the most recognised names in the charity sector, an impressive roster of celebrities, plus of course our 32 nominated charities

There are ten categories in the current Charity Awards programme. They are:

  • Advice, support and advocacy
  • Arts, culture and heritage
  • Children and Youth
  • Disability
  • Education and training
  • Environment and conservation
  • Grantmaking and funding
  • Healthcare and medical research
  • International aid and development
  • Social care and welfare

In addition to these categories the judges also select the Overall Winner (chosen from the category winners), the Effectiveness Award and the Outstanding Leadership Award, which is presented to an individual who has an unquestionable legacy of leading individuals and organisations to deliver impact.

The shortlisted charities for this year's awards will be announced on May 3rd 2012; you will be able to access the list within the Charity Awards section on the Civil Society Media website and on the daily Civil Society eNews, which you can sign-up for via the website. All shortlisted charities will then be featured in the June issue of Charity Finance magazine.

The overall results will be announced at the Charity Awards gala dinner on June 14th 2012.
