Lynne Upton - Interim Chief Executive (job-share)

Lynne took up her position in charge of the CU's learning agenda in September 2011. The focus of the role is to manage the development of the Children's University's curriculum for learning, also including website developments and CU volunteering.

Immediately before working for the Children's University, Lynne was employed as a Senior Curriculum Advisor with the Qualifications and Curriculum Development Authority (QCDA). 

Lynne started her career as a Modern Foreign Languages teacher, and has worked with children, undergraduates and adults in a range of institutions in Leicestershire and Nottingham. She moved into Modern Languages advisory work, collaborating on a range of teaching materials and published resources, and running a regional training centre for language teachers. Lynne was Vice Principal of a Leicestershire Community College before joining Warwickshire County Council in 2001. During her time in Warwickshire, Lynne and her team developed the county's wider curriculum for 14 - 19 learners.

Lynne lives in Leicestershire and has a daughter and family living in the Manchester area.
